Position Overview
The Director of Marketing and Communications builds strategy and leads the execution and evaluation of the Rochester Catholic Schools’ comprehensive marketing and communications program to drive enrollment, development and alumni engagement. The director oversees all RCS digital and traditional marketing and integrates efforts across departments. He or she also stewards the RCS overall brand and image. The Director will work closely with colleagues from activities, development, enrollment, alumni relations, and our five schools and is a member of our leadership team.


Responsibilities
? Define the overall marketing and communications strategy, messaging, customer journeys, marketing mix, investment recommendations and marketing plan aligned with the RCS strategy and business goals.
? Manage annual marketing plan and budget, including goals, tactics, benchmarks and timetables
? Coordinate with Development and Enrollment departments to align marketing efforts in support of goals.
? Identify and optimize marketing channels.
? Develop digital and traditional marketing campaigns across multiple platforms.
? Spearhead efforts to increase SEO visibility.
? Apply audience insights, research and marketing analytics to develop, implement and measure marketing campaigns that achieve measurable targets.
? Lead marketing and communications efforts in support of fundraising, enrollment, alumni relations, and staff.
? Manage system internal, external and incident communications to engage audiences and build reputation of RCS.


Qualifications and Skills
? An authentic desire to elevate RCS and advance its mission;
? Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or other applicable field;
? Experience in marketing or related field;
? Familiarity with the mission and values of the Catholic Church and Catholic education;
? Demonstrated success in building and executing marketing programs to achieve business goals;
? Experience conceiving and managing a comprehensive marketing plan from start to finish;
? Ability to navigate ambiguity and prioritize work among competing needs;
? Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written, and superior interpersonal skills with a natural way of connecting with various constituents and audiences;
? Skilled problem-solver and critical, strategic thinker who will meet challenges with creative and effective solutions.
