Youth Ministry Director
This is a new position for the Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Responsibilities include planning, organizing and leading discipleship formation for youth grades 7-12. Recruiting, equipping and forming adult leaders as they are guided to serve youth ministry needs. This position will work to build a team of volunteers to assist with this discipleship formation.
This person would need to love the high energy of middle and high school youth and the creativity needed to meet their personal and spiritual needs. It is necessary for this person to have knowledge and experience in theology and ministry with the ability to draw deeper the teens already in love with the Lord and outreach and evangelize those less engaged.
This position also directs our faith formation program, Ydisciple, for the same age group.

- A pastor who is fully committed to your success, both in ministry and in your own personal faith walk.
- We are part of a Tri-parish, and although you will be primarily serving the youth of Good Shepherd in Jackson, you will also be expected to set up a discipleship chain that invests in and helps discipline some youth from the other two parishes.
- We are in rural southwestern Minnesota. Our parish is located in an area that has great opportunities for outdoor activities, including hiking and biking as well as hunting and fishing.
- We are located 90 miles from the nearest metropolitan area (Sioux Falls, SD). We do have some wonderful, active young adults to form a community with, it will not be the same as what you might find in a metro area.
It is a very worthy ministry. These kids desperately need the investment of young adults that they can look up to, in order to help them succeed in following Jesus Christ, and the parish(s) needs someone with experience in discipleship to help lead the charge.
