The Diocese of Winona-Rochester is currently accepting resumes for opportunities at our Pastoral Center in Winona, MN. These positions will be based out of Rochester, MN, once construction of a new Diocesan Pastoral Center is completed in the spring of 2024. Positions and hiring specifications are as follows:

Director of Development: The position is responsible for the development activities and fundraising goals of the Diocese of Winona-Rochester. The Director will identify, build and strengthen relationships to enhance development activities related to such programs as the Annual Appeal, the Winona Newman Center, special diocesan capital Campaigns and other fundraising initiatives as directed by the Bishop of Winona-Rochester. The position works closely with the leadership of the Diocese, Catholic Foundation of Southern Minnesota, Winona Newman Center as well as various key individuals and corporations whose interests align with the Diocese of Winona-Rochester’s long-term vision. Typical qualifications include Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 5 years demonstrated success in the development field. Applicants are typically practicing Catholics with excellent verbal and written skills.

Director of Human Resources: The selected individual will be involved in traditional human resource generalist activities such as recruitment, performance management, policy development, employee relations, conflict resolutions, etc. The position is also responsible for the administration of a full array of employee benefits offered to all diocesan entities. Candidates are typically practicing Catholics with a Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s degree preferred) in Human Resource Management or similar and a minimum of 10 years in an HR leadership role.

Director of the Tribunal/Judge: Reporting to the Judicial Vicar this position provides professional and canonical direction and expertise to the ministry of the Diocesan Tribunal. Typically, candidates have a Licentiate in Canon Law (JCL) and a minimum of 2 years of tribunal experience. A strong knowledge of matrimonial and procedural canon law is required.

Notary/Administrative Assistant: The position consists of preparing and authenticating documents of the Tribunal, organizing and carefully inspecting documents, providing guidance to parties and witnesses in marriage nullity cases and carrying out the written correspondence of the Tribunal. Candidates typically have a minimum of a High School Diploma (Associate’s Degree preferred) along with a minimum 3-5 years in an administrative support role. Experience in Church and/or legal work also desired.
