Meet the Presenters for Catechetical Day
Mrs. Rebecca Gust
Although I was raised in the Chicagoland area, I've adopted Minnesota as my home after falling in love (with MN and my husband, John Gust) while earning my B.A. in youth and pastoral ministry at Saint Mary's University in Winona. After a short stint in Ohio while completing my Master's degree in theological studies, we finally settled in Austin, MN. God has blessed us with three children (ages 4, 2, and 3 months) who bring us joy, keep us humble, and remind us daily of our dependence on God's grace and care! My decision to study theology and work in ministry was the result of an encounter with God as a teen. Now, as director of catechesis at St Augustine and St Edward parishes in Austin, God has been leading me to lead others to encounter him.
Mr. Zach Rawson
I’m originally from North Minneapolis but now live in Rochester with my wife (Suzanne) and two daughters (Sydney and Juliette). I’ve worked for the Church, in various roles, for 18 years (over half of my life)! For the past 8 years I have served youth and young adults at Pax Christi in Rochester. Over the course of those 8 years I’ve been blessed to witness the beautiful things the Holy Spirit can do with the lives of young people whose hearts are open.
Father Th? Hoàng
I was born and raised in Owatonna, MN. I entered seminary right after high school. I graduated from St. Mary's University in Winona, MN for my BA degree and then my masters of divinity from Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit, MI. I have one older brother and my parents have been blessed with good health.
