A message from Bishop Barron upon his selection as a participant in the Synod of Synodality
It was formally announced today by the Vatican that I will be among the more than four hundred delegates to the Synod on Synodality which will take place this coming October in Rome. This international convocation will consider the issues and themes that have arisen from the lengthy process of consultation of local churches from around the world. I regret that I will be absent from our diocese for a month, but I do believe that the Synod is of signal importance for the entire Church and I consider it a privilege to be able to participate in it. Could I please ask all of you to pray for me as I prepare for this gathering?
