IHM Seminary Enacts Measures to Stem Coronavirus

WINONA--Following precautionary guidelines to mitigate the spread of COVID-19/Coronavirus, Immaculate Heart of Mary Seminary is responding in a few different ways:

• Seminarians have been sent back to their home Diocese from March 17 through April 13.
• Academic classes at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota are being conducted online March 18 through April 13.  
• Formation will continue. Specific details are in progress, but will involve regular contact by email, telephone, and other technological means. 

It is important to note that no known cases of coronavirus have been found on the IHM Seminary or Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota campuses.  

The following events have been cancelled:

• Vocation Information Weekends held on March 14-16 and March 21-23
• Bishops and Rector Dinner at the Rochester International Event Center in Rochester, MN on April 17, 2020
