lay formation

EMMAUS ~ TOGETHER IN CHRIST provides a program of continuing formation and renewal for Institute alumni and other lay leaders serving in the Diocese of Winona-Rochester. Offerings include academic sessions, days of reflections, retreats, workshops, etc. The program provides lay leaders with opportunities for growth in the four core areas of formation: intellectual; human; spiritual; and pastoral.

For the fall semester of the 2022-2023 Emmaus year…
The Institute of Lay Formation will partner with the Catherine of Siena Institute to provide formation in the discernment of charisms (spiritual gifts) through the Called & Gifted” Discernment Process:

The Called & Gifted Discernment Process is designed to help Christians discern the presence of charisms in their lives. Charisms, or spiritual gifts, are special abilities given to all Christians by the Holy Spirit to give them power both to represent Christ and to be a channel of God's goodness for people. Whether extraordinary or ordinary, all charisms ought to be exercised in the service of God. (Catechism of the Catholic Church, #2003)
